Solidarity Halifax invites you to participate in a town hall discussion on the Power to the People! Campaign. On September 13 and 18th, NS Power will present its rate hike application to the Utility and Review Board. Unfortunately, the UARB is expected to rubber-stamp two further electricity rate hikes. These will be the 7th and 8th rate hikes in the last decade.

This town hall is designed to figure out what the next steps should be. We can’t rely on the UARB to stop the hike, so what can we do to continue building opposition to Nova Scotia Power and support for a public option? Come learn about the flawed UARB process, the idea of public ownership and brainstorm next steps for the campaign!

Agenda, list of speakers and more info coming soon.
