On January 27, 2013 marchers travelled from Shubenacadie Residential School to Indian Brook First Nation to honour residential school survivors. On the next day, marchers left Dartmouth, crossing the MacDonald Bridge and made their way to Citadel Hill and the Commons to commemorate the indigenous history of K’jipuktuk and denounce genocidal policies that claimed many ancestors.
